Investment Overseas

The government has had a partial shutdown for almost a week. The good news is that it’s not the entire government. However, due to the partial shut down and the fact that no one can agree on what to do next, I am investing more and more overseas in the European Union and Asia. Recently have been looking at currency ETF’s to get things started.

IPO’s of 2019

There are several stocks that are potentially coming in 2019. I like some more than others.

Lyft: A ride-sharing company. I like Lyft and will definitely get in on the company as soon as it opens up.

Uber: Another ride-sharing company. I will surely jump on Uber but will watch it a lot closer than Lyft. Uber has made a lot of mistakes and I think Lyft has looked at it and learned to avoid it. Long term I think only one can survive.

Airbnd: A home-sharing company has had some scandals. Its a company I would keep on the watch but I wouldn’t get it right away. I would wait at least a week to see how it rolls out. fortuneindia_2018-06_ec8807e3-7e92-4e13-b8a5-b6971715c9dd_accounting_alone_application_938965

Pinterest: I am looking forward to having this company be public. I see this company having a long-term existence. It is a company we have all heard of.

Two Growth ETF’s under $20

I am always looking for growth stocks that offer dividends and arent too expensive. You have to strike a balance between buying a stock that is too low and getting one that is low but with room for growth; growth is profit. Below are two stocks that are great to keep long term.

Fidelity MSCI Energy Index ETF: The world will always need energy and as developing countries grow they will need the energy.

Fidelity MSCI Energy Index ETF: This is a great stock if you are looking for long term growth potential. pexels-photo

Bitcoins

At first I thought Bitcoins and cryptocurrency would be something that would come and go but I now believe that its here to stay. Overnight the value of cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin, Litecoin and Ethereum have gone up hundreds of dollars. I have started investing in it. If yopexels-photo-730567u still have cold feet you don’t have to buy the currency. Instead you can invest in the following companies that are affected by the value of cryptocurrency.

(Overstock)OSKT- Trading at $68.00
Its valuable because you can buy things using bitcoin from Overstock

(Enbridge Energy Partners) EEP-Trading at $14.00 . Its valuable because mining for cryptocurrency requires energy. The more cryptocurrencies go in value the more people will be mining which will cause a spike in energy which means that energy companies will have to produce more.

(Energy Transfer Partner) ETP- Trading at $17.00
Valuable for the same reason as EEP

(Aceto Corp) ACET- Trading at $10.00

(Square Inc) SQ- Trading at $37.00
Its involved with cryptocurrency.

Below are some great investments that are under 50 dollars with plenty of room for growth. You don’t have to put in hundreds of dollars to be a good investors but you do have to have a sense of direction and pay attention to trends.

ADRA

The Fund seeks to provide investment results that correspond to the price and yield performance of the BNY Asia 50 ADR Index. The Index is made up of the ADRs of the 50 most actively traded companies from the Asian market that have a market capitalization of between $1 billion and $90 billion. China, Japan, South Korea and Singapore are stable economies; this investment will give you Asian exposure.

AHH

This is a great investment if you want to get into the real estate business without being a landlord and currently the dividend is $.0.76. This is great because as the value of the stock growth not only will you keep the value of the stock but you get money back.

OMX

The Fund seeks to track the price and yield performance of the Indxx SuperDividend Alternatives Index. The Underlying Index is comprised of securities that rank among the highest dividend yielding securities in each eligible category of alternative income investments as defined by the Index Provider.pexels-photo-225203

Long Term Investments

spaceship-26556_1280When it comes to investing I look long term. I think about making sure that my investments have relevance in the world many years from now. With that in mind I have been looking at several ETF’s that are part of the real estate sector.

MBB is trading at $106

The investment seeks to track the investment results of the Bloomberg Barclays U.S. MBS Index. The fund goal is to track the performance of the underlying index by investing at least 90% of its assets in the securities of the underlying index and in investments that provide substantially likely exposure to securities in the underlying index. The index measures the performance of investment-grade mortgage-backed pass-through securities (“MBS”) issued or guaranteed by U.S. government agencies.

LMBS is trading at $52.03

The investment seeks to create current income with a secondary objective of capital appreciation. Under normal market conditions, the fund will seek to establish its investment objectives by investing at least 80% of its net assets (including investment borrowings) in mortgage-related debt securities and other mortgage-related instruments (collectively, “Mortgage-Related Investments”). The advisor regularly expects to invest in Mortgage-Related Investments tied to residential and commercial mortgages. It is non-diversified.

CMBS is trading at $ 51.40

The investment goal is to track the investment results of the Bloomberg Barclays U.S. CMBS (ERISA Only) Index. The index measures the performance of investment-grade commercial mortgage-backed securities (“CMBS”), which are classes of securities (known as “certificates”) that represent interests in “pools” of commercial mortgages. The fund generally will invest at least 90% of its assets in the component securities of the underlying index and may invest up to 10% of its assets in certain futures, options and swap contracts, cash and cash equivalents.
