When it comes to investing I look long term. I think about making sure that my investments have relevance in the world many years from now. With that in mind I have been looking at several ETF’s that are part of the real estate sector.
MBB is trading at $106
The investment seeks to track the investment results of the Bloomberg Barclays U.S. MBS Index. The fund goal is to track the performance of the underlying index by investing at least 90% of its assets in the securities of the underlying index and in investments that provide substantially likely exposure to securities in the underlying index. The index measures the performance of investment-grade mortgage-backed pass-through securities (“MBS”) issued or guaranteed by U.S. government agencies.
LMBS is trading at $52.03
The investment seeks to create current income with a secondary objective of capital appreciation. Under normal market conditions, the fund will seek to establish its investment objectives by investing at least 80% of its net assets (including investment borrowings) in mortgage-related debt securities and other mortgage-related instruments (collectively, “Mortgage-Related Investments”). The advisor regularly expects to invest in Mortgage-Related Investments tied to residential and commercial mortgages. It is non-diversified.
CMBS is trading at $ 51.40
The investment goal is to track the investment results of the Bloomberg Barclays U.S. CMBS (ERISA Only) Index. The index measures the performance of investment-grade commercial mortgage-backed securities (“CMBS”), which are classes of securities (known as “certificates”) that represent interests in “pools” of commercial mortgages. The fund generally will invest at least 90% of its assets in the component securities of the underlying index and may invest up to 10% of its assets in certain futures, options and swap contracts, cash and cash equivalents.
